Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy governs Personal Information as defined below. This Privacy Policy must be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use. Words defined in those terms have the same meaning in this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information
"Personal Information" means any information about an identifiable individual that is provided to the Service in connection with a Customer’s registration for and use of the Service, including without limitation:
- User registration and profile information, such as contact name, address and phone number; or
- information about how Users interact with the Service, such as when a User lists or bids for an Opportunity and the content he/she submits or accesses.
Sharing Personal Information
Trust in the Service is very important to OptiFleet, which is why OptiFleet doesn't share Personal Information with others unless:
- Optifleet has received permission for the sharing;
- Optifleet has have given notice of the sharing, such as by telling the User about it in this policy or the Terms of Use;
- it is reasonable that Optifleet share the information in connection with any use that is permitted below, and Optifleet has taken reasonable steps to ensure the recipient only uses and shares the information in the same way that Optifleet can;
- Optifleet has removed individual names or any other personally identifying information from it (for example by aggregating it with information about other Users); or
- Optifleet believes release is appropriate to comply with law; facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply the Agreement; or protect the rights, property, or safety of OptiFleet, Customers, Users, or others.
Using Personal Information
Each Customer permits OptiFleet to use any Personal Information of the Customer’s Users:
- for any use that the Customer or its Users authorise or that Optifleet has notified to the Customer or its Users (such as by telling them about it in this policy or the Terms of Use);
- in connection with any services and features Optifleet provides, including without limitation:
- as part of keeping the Service safe and secure; or
- to provide Customers with location features and services, like telling Customer’s where there are Opportunities;
- for internal research purposes (including the development of future OptiFleet products and services);
- to send Users electronic newsletters and promotions in relation to OptiFleet products and services (which will contain clear instructions for how Users can unsubscribe from the mailing list);
- to send a User emails relating to his/her membership, transactions and other activities on the Service; or
- to verify User identity; enforce or apply the Agreement; or to help protect the rights, property, or safety of OptiFleet, Customers, Users or others.
